By using your product as extensively as we have, we have eliminated fuel contamination and water-in-fuel problems in our 420-bus operation. In the cold Detroit area, fuel problems were once a major source of bus downtime. We have never experienced a product malfunction. All automotive accessory devices should be as simple and effective as RCI products. All bus fleets should be RCI Purifier equipped like we are.
Approximately one (1) year ago, we were introduced to the RCI Technologies’ fuel purifier (formally RCI Purifier West) and after conducting several months of testing, we made the RCI purifier standard equipment on all our units. We have found our distributors are experiencing less down time due to fuel problems. The RCI purifier has also extended the life on our engine fuel injection systems.
Since we have installed the RCI fuel purifier, we have not had to do any emergency filter changes. We just completed a normal service on the loader, we purged the purifier and was really surprised and impressed by the amount of water and contaminates the RCI purifier retained.
I am writing to express my appreciation of your line of fuel filters. We purchased an FP 800 and installed it on a problem we had on a field diesel fuel tank. This solved the problem we were having with contaminates. I like the simplicity of the unit, no replacement parts. We can virtually forget about the unit.
The RCI Fuel Purifier was installed on one of our locomotives about 6 months ago and our fuel filter replacement interval has been extended to approximately twenty-one days (previously, the filter had to be changed or replaced every three days). Your unit has saved us a considerable amount of money in the short time we’ve had it installed
As a test we purchased and installed an RCI fuel purifier, Model FP 400, on one of our snowplows. Our fuel problem disappeared. We continue to be surprised at the amount of water and other contaminates the RCI purifier consistently (and with no continuing maintenance) removes from our fuel.
After installing the RCI unit, we used a gravity feed line to make sure we removed all the air from the new installation as well as the RCI purifier. Once we were sure all the air had been purged we turned on our circulating pump, which moves at least 40 gallons of fuel per minute. Within the first twenty minutes, the RCI purifier removed 21⁄2 gallons of water from our fuel.
I have had my RCI Purifier for about 18 years now and it has served well. I can tell stories of how my unit has saved me many fuel filters and also some breakdowns due to very contaminated fuel purchases. I also attribute the longevity of my fuel pump and injectors to the clean, pure fuel they receive after the fuel goes through the RCI Purifier.
The RCI purifier not only filtered out all of the impurities (and on our daily checks, there was plenty of evidence), but also negated our using any expensive additives; such as “Bio-bore”, to eliminate algae growth, when we left our vessel unattended in the marinas for weeks at a time. The fuel reaching our very sensitive M.A.N. was clear, and we have never had fuel blockage problems or dirty injectors.
LAX is one of the countries busiest airports. Here at Avis we operate a fleet of twenty two diesel powered buses on a start and stop basis, constantly picking up and dropping off our customers at their rental car or return flight.
We recently remodeled our fuel and service facility. After researching several possibilities, our engineers specified the RCI Technologies’ fuel purifier, model FP 1500-P on each of our fuel islands. Each of these RCI units is capable of handling fuel flows of up to 90 gallons per minute and adds no restrictions or back pressure to the system.
We heard about the RCI Technologies fuel purifier and decided to try it on one of our fuel pumps. We removed the fuel filter, installed the RCI purifier and are extremely happy with the results. In fact, we are so happy we just purchased another RCI purifier. We will be replacing all the fuel filters on our pumps with the RCI units.
